Case Studies
Selected case summaries from our therapy processes conducted with scientific methods. Each study reflects an evidence-based approach grounded in the client's unique story.
CBT for Anxiety Management
An 8-session course of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) was conducted with a client experiencing severe exam anxiety.
Recognising the link between thoughts, emotions and behaviour led to a significant reduction in anxiety scores.
“The client realised that physical relaxation was also possible when they changed the direction of their thoughts.”
Existential & Logotherapy Approach
During a 10-session Logotherapy process with a client who sought help due to feelings of meaninglessness and burnout, we worked on the themes of life’s meaning, values and responsibility.
The client has regained a sense of purpose.
“When he asked himself ‘why he was living’, he realised that the answer lay not in the external world but in the meaning he himself had created.”
Experiential Play Therapy
A play-based therapy programme was carried out with a child who found it difficult to express their feelings.
A reduction in behavioural responses was observed in the third week, and a marked improvement in verbal expression skills was noted in the sixth week.
“The child’s vocabulary became their playground; emotions are no longer a source of crisis, but have become a means of communication.”
Attention Deficit & the PASS App
Following attention assessments, the Pass Programme was implemented with a child experiencing academic difficulties due to attention deficits.
As planning and processing skills improved, there was a noticeable improvement in school performance.
“The aim of cognitive training was not to ‘focus’ attention, but to teach how to direct it.”
Attention Development with EMDR & Attention Training
In an adolescent client with a history of trauma, EMDR was used to reduce emotional distress, while attention training supported the development of focus skills.
By the 10th week, attention span had increased, and a noticeable improvement in academic performance was also observed.
“Emotional relief brought with it improved cognitive focus.”
The Chronic Grief Process – An Existential & EMDR Approach
Meaning-centred therapy and EMDR protocols were used in combination with a client who had been unable to move beyond the grieving process for a long time.
As the sessions progressed, the sense of guilt diminished, and the client learned to come to terms with the memory of the loss rather than simply accepting it.
“It was not the end of the mourning period, but learning to live with it that was the true sign of transformation.”
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – CBT and Exposure Therapy
A 12-session CBT and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) process was conducted with a client presenting with repetitive checking behaviors.
A significant reduction in mental rituals was observed, along with a decrease in anxiety levels.
“The client realized that what changed was not the thoughts themselves, but their response to them.”
Panic Disorder – Somatic Regulation with EMDR
EMDR and breathing-based mindfulness exercises were carried out with a client experiencing sudden panic attacks.
After working through traumatic core memories, the frequency and severity of attacks decreased, and the sense of bodily control improved.
“The client relearned to trust the body she had been trying to control.”
Eating Disorders – CBT & Emotional Regulation Approach
A 10-session CBT programme was conducted with a client experiencing a cycle of restrictive eating behaviour and guilt.
Through work on body image, emotional awareness and self-compassion, healthy eating habits were re-established.
“Now, when the client looks in the mirror, she has started to see ‘herself, not her body’.”
