Improve My Attention with Attentioner: A Special Attention Development Program for Children
Children encounter many different stimuli throughout the day, and in today’s fast-changing world, they may sometimes struggle to concentrate and maintain focus. To help them overcome these challenges and support their development, the Attentioner Program was developed at the University of Bremen in Germany as a neuropsychology-based program. By offering a specially designed approach that supports attention development, the program aims to help children focus on learning and personal growth.
The Attentioner Program is designed for children between the ages of 7 and 18 and aims to improve their attention and concentration spans while helping them maintain focus despite visual or auditory distractions encountered in daily life.
Attention Exercises Enriched with Games and Activities
Consisting of 15 individual sessions and 5 family sessions, the program provides children with an enjoyable learning experience through interactive games and activities designed to strengthen attention using systematic multiple stimuli. These exercises help children improve their focus and concentration skills.
Family Participation and Practical Strategies for Home
The program also encourages families to actively support their children. Parents are provided with simple yet effective strategies that can be applied in everyday life to support their child’s attention development.
Weekly “secret missions” are assigned to help children improve their problem-solving skills and organizational abilities.
Emotional Regulation
Attentioner also offers strategies and techniques to help children develop emotional regulation skills. For children experiencing impulse control difficulties, the program includes special cards that help regulate social behavior and teach them how to manage their behavior in social settings throughout the program process.
With the participation of the program’s mascot, Dragon Typhoon, this enjoyable experience becomes more concrete and engaging. At the same time, children’s interest in learning increases, encouraging them to actively participate in their learning journey.
