Working Parents and Anxiety
It is a widely accepted belief that parenting—that is, being a mother or father—is the most challenging profession in the world. Freud once remarked on this subject: “There are three professions that are both vital and extremely difficult to fulfill: being a parent, being a psychologist, and being a teacher. Why? Because they all share a common trait: they influence a person’s development, formation, and self-realization.”
Striving to maintain a balance between work and personal life while ensuring that these roles do not overlap is perhaps one of the most challenging aspects. The responsibilities brought by professional life, and the responsibilities and challenges of being a parent. Amid all the hustle and bustle, worrying about not being able to spend quality time with one’s child is a common feeling among parents. This feeling can sometimes lead to guilt and anxiety. The purpose of this training is to guide working mothers and fathers in managing feelings of guilt and anxiety.
