Today, developments in the aviation sector have a direct economic impact on many industries, whilst also playing a significant role in countries’ social development. Research highlights that air traffic doubles every 15 years. This demonstrates that the aviation sector has a direct impact on global development.
“A study conducted by the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) revealed that in 2015, approximately 25,000 aircraft belonging to 1,397 airlines carried 3.57 billion passengers worldwide. In our country too, an annual increase of approximately 15 per cent in passenger numbers has been observed over the last 13 years. The number of people employed in the aviation sector in our country stood at around 65,000 in 2003, but exceeded 187,000 by 2014.”
The aviation sector continues to grow rapidly. According to a report prepared by Airbus, taking global developments into account and covering the period from 2016 to 2035, air passenger traffic is expected to grow by an average of 4.5% per year over this 20-year period; consequently, there will be a need for 33,000 new aircraft, as well as numerous pilots and cabin crew.
This training programme has been developed in response to the growing demand for flight crew in the aviation sector, drawing on the assessment procedures employed by airlines both in Turkey and abroad. The aim of the training is for candidates to reflect on their self-awareness and discover how they can enhance their personal impact throughout their careers, whilst developing their ability to express themselves more effectively during interviews. The training is supported by practical exercises to be carried out both individually and in teams. At the end of the training, one-to-one interviews will be conducted with the candidates.
